Holidays.

A public holiday is a day in a year set aside to be a non-working day backed by the rule of law. These days could be celebration of independence, the anniversary of any other important historical event or a religious event. Public holidays could also be seen as a way to promote work-life balance as that day tends to be “free of work”. On the flip side some analysts believe that the more public holidays a country has, the less productive it could tend to be.

There are many countries around that world that seem to be enjoying a large number of holidays with some averaging 2 (or more) per month. Our infographic utilizes data complied by #WorldAtlas and The Telegraph to visualize the countries with the most number of public holidays in a year. Results show that Cambodia 🇰🇭 has the highest with 28 followed by Sri-Lanka with 25 and India 🇮🇳 and Kazakhstan 🇰🇿 with 21 each.
